Description

Ginger Essential Oil

From: £2.39 For 10 mls

Wild-crafted in France from the roots of the ginger plant, our ginger essential oil has been carefully steam distilled to capture its purest form and is well-known as a potent natural healer.

Ginger is a perennial herb with a long association with traditional folk medicine. Known also by its botanical name, zingiber officinale, it grows to a metre in height and bears narrow green leaves and yellow flowers.

Ginger is somewhat of a marvel amongst natural medicines and is commonly used by aromatherapists, known for its warming properties.

With its medium to strong aroma, ginger essential oil blends well with bergamot, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and other spice oils, adding a warm, spicy, woody fragrance with hints of lemon and pepper.

The origins of ginger can be found in the tropical rainforests of Southern Asia where it once grew wild. It arrived in Europe in the first century AD as part of the highly lucrative spice trade and was widely used for both culinary and medicinal purposes by the Romans.

Our 100% pure ginger essential oil is available in bottle sizes from 10ml up to 5000ml.
